Rod Smith owns and operates Australian Boating College at Frankston offering courses in community facilities in Heidelberg, Carrum Downs, Pakenham, Whittlesea and Kinglake.

He is the senior instructor and trainer, holds Master Class V Certificates and has a nationally recognized training qualification Class IV.
